The laziest way to make $100k a month closing
Last week I took 3 calls, closed 2, made $13,500. Here's the real reason it worked and why grinding more calls is the dumb way to scale.
Short answer
How do closers make $100k a month without working more hours?
Working harder is not the answer. I made $13,500 last week off three calls because of two things, negotiation and offer selection. Push your commission past the flat 10% once you prove your worth, and move off $3k offers onto $20k to $85k ones. Same skill, rich buyers, completely different ceiling.

Working harder in sales will not make you more money. Last week I took three total sales calls. Closed two of them. Made $13,500 in straight commissions. I'm not telling you that to flex. I'm telling you because it proves something most closers never figure out.
I've helped hundreds of closers at this point. I've got $9M+ in sales myself. And there's a clear line between the guys stuck at $10k a month and the guys hitting 50, 60, 70k. It's not hustle. It's two things. Negotiation and offer selection. Let me break both down.
The negotiation nobody talks about
I've got a closer I'll call Joe. Made $28,000 last month closing at 35% on a $12k offer. He's getting around 55 calls a month, about 14 a week, 2 to 3 a day.
Meanwhile there are two other closers on the same offer, each getting around 55 calls too, closing at 20%. Do the math. That's a 15% gap between Joe and the other two. I ran the numbers with him and that gap is literally costing the company $180,000 in cash they're not collecting, just because Joe isn't taking all the volume.
So here's what I told him straight up.
You need to be in your owner's ear. Get these other closers fired. There is no reason they should still be on this offer if you're willing to take 8 to 9 calls a day.
Just by doing that, nothing else changed, Joe triples his volume. Even if his close rate dips a little, he's looking at 70k in commissions instead of 28k. But that's only step one.
Why you should never settle for 10%
If you're about to take on triple the workload and make the company an extra $180,000, why are you still getting paid a flat 10%? You shouldn't be.
Push for 12%, push for 14%, tied to cash collection targets. Let's say Joe ends up collecting $700k in cash for the company. At 10% that's 70k for him. At 14% that's $98,000. Same work, same volume, extra $28k just from asking for what he's worth.
Companies will make this trade. They don't want to manage a pile of mediocre closers. They'd rather pay one great closer more and have predictable revenue. That's the trade. Most people never even bring it up.
Companies will pay you what you're worth because they'd rather deal with one great closer than five bad ones.
One catch. This only works if you're actually good. If you're not the top guy on the team, you have no leverage. So if you're sitting there thinking you don't have any leverage in your situation, that's not a negotiation problem. That's a skill problem. Fix that first.
The real unlock, super high ticket offers
This is the one that actually changed everything for me. Most closers are sitting on offers between $3k and $10k. Fine offers. Nothing wrong with them. But the moment you move to offers at $20k and up, the math gets stupid in your favor. I've seen offers go as high as $85,000, which means an 8.5k commission per close at just 10%.
Here's the comparison that made it click. I've got a closer, Tim, 19 years old, closes at 60%, high volume of calls. But he's selling a $3,000 offer to broke college students. He was averaging 8 to 10k a month. Grinding hard for it too.
Tim is sitting there objection handling people for 3 hours to make $300. I've been there. I've taken someone's last $1,000 and made $20 an hour like a McDonald's worker doing it.
Then there's John. Closes at 30 to 40%, low volume, only been closing for 2 months. He sells a $20k package in the buy a business niche. He's already averaging 20k a month and on pace for 30k. The difference isn't skill. John is talking to people who already have money. You can't even consider his offer unless you've got capital. Tim is fighting broke 20 year olds for their last few hundred bucks.
Rich buyers change everything
I had another closer reach out, I'll call him Jack. Already making 50k a month selling offers between 30k and 85k. He's good, not elite. We're working on getting him to 100k a month. Not because his skill jumped overnight, but because of who he's talking to.
I lived this myself. My last offer before coaching was a $30k trading algorithm. Only targeted people who already had money. I made 60k a month on that. And the wild part, there were genuinely bad closers on that same offer pulling 30k a month. The average closer there was clearing $25,000 a month.
Compare that to my old high ticket offer before that, full of elite closers, and only one guy consistently broke 50k a month. He was working 16 hours a day, 7 days a week. I was never doing that. I never hit those numbers there. Same skillset, different buyer, completely different ceiling.
I took the same skillset, started selling rich people, took less calls, and made more money than I'd ever made in sales in my life.
How the $13,500 week actually happened
This past week is proof. I hopped on a high ticket offer in the buy a business niche, biz op style, selling to people who already know they need capital. I make $6,750 per deal closed.
One close was basically a layup I found sitting in the pipeline. Didn't take much skill. The other was a two call close where I actually got hit with a partner objection and didn't fully overcome it on the first call. I'll be honest about that. Wasn't some perfect performance. But the offer did the heavy lifting that skill alone never could on a $3k product.
Not a lot of closers can take $35k or $50k off somebody. If you can, and then you stack negotiation on top of it, you start making real money.
Where this is going
I'm chasing $200,000 a month in straight commissions, working less than 40 hours a week, selling other people's offers. Not my own stuff. Not training. I want to prove it works on myself first, then build a system to get every closer I work with onto offers like this.
I've already moved Tim onto a package above $30k. Early days, but the results are already showing. Once I've got this fully systematized, the way I work with closers is going to change, and the price to work with me will reflect that. Right now you can still get in before that shift happens.
The bottom line
Nobody talks about negotiating your commission percentage. Nobody talks about chasing offers at $20k, $30k, $85k instead of grinding $3k deals. Everybody just says get better at sales. Getting better matters, but it's only half the equation. Fix your offer, fix your pay structure, and you stop needing 14 calls a day to make real money.
